A Trip to Lagamar

Cardoso Island is an island near Cananeia in the south coast of São Paulo state. it takes 3 or 4 hours to get there.

The weather is hot and it rains a lot in the summer, but be careful, in the winter it doens't rain so much but get ready for really cold nights.

There are lots of things to see there, in our trip we went to the rocky shore, the coast forest, the beach and the Iguape Church. Dont't forget to see the houses they are beautiful and colorful. We also went to Morro do Espia, it's a long walk, but in the end the view was just awsome.

You can do many things there, like walking in the beach, swimmig, visiting the city museum, going to the church and if you like advetures you must go to the mangrove. We went there and it's a unique experience!

In our trip we stayed in Cananeia, but, if you want you can stay in the island , in small inns, the problem is that there is no electricity there, so we think that it's better to stay in Cananeia, and take the boat in the morning.

Well, the food there is really simple, the better choice is the homemade food, you can find it in all the restaurants and they are delicious . Don't forget the fish, it's the typical food there and it's delicious.

Don't take new clothes like we did, mainly if you are going to the mangrove, because you'll be covered by mud. Some water and a cap are really important, but please, don't forget the sunscreen and the insects repellent, because we got full of insects bites and belive us, it's NOT nice!

It's really esay to get there, but it's a long trip so take some food with you and take Rodovia Regis Bittencourt (BR 116), when you get in Cananeia take the boat to go to Cardoso island.

It's a good idea to go with friends or family, with more people it gets nicer!

Thank you for reading and have a good trip!!
